MISSION

To provide high-quality, low-cost therapeutic behavioral and educational therapy to families in need for their children with a spectrum disorder.

PHILOSOPHY

Applied Behavioral Concepts was founded to meet the needs of the growing population of children diagnosed with Pervasive Developmental Delay (PDD), Autism, Aspergers Syndrome, Down Syndrome, Fragile X and other chromosomal anomalies affecting learning and behavioral issues.

We are able to integrate a variety of therapy options depending on the functional level of the individual child to meet developmental goals. Our behavioral intervention services are provided under the constant supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, our founder and director. In addition, we contract services from an experienced Speech and Language Pathologist, Psychologist and Special Education Teacher, as well as utilize additional resources in our community. Our staff implements techniques proven to be effective strategies for children with developmental delays. Our teacher-to-student ratio follows the recommended guidelines of 1:1 or 1:2 and the amount of behavioral support needed depending each child.

One of the services that sets us apart is our incorporation of typical peers within a typical preschool environment. Through our unique cooperative efforts with other service providers in Madison and Huntsville, Alabama, all children are introduced into a variety of interactions with typical peers to develop skills needed to function in a typical school setting.
