Founded in Huntsville, Alabama in 2000, Applied Behavioral Concepts saw the growing population of children diagnosed with Pervasive Developmental Delay (PDD), Autism, Aspergers Syndrome, Down Syndrome, Fragile X and other chromosomal anomalies. We strive to help children and their families affected by their learning and behavioral deficits. Our behavioral and educational services are provided under the constant supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, our founder and director. In addition, we contract services from experienced Speech and Language Pathologists, Psychologists and Special Education Teachers, as well as additional resources within our community.

Applied Behavioral Concepts has grown to be one of the leading behavioral schools in northern Alabama. Focused on the creation of a positive cycle of learning, we recognize the value of every child as an individual and are able to guide the whole child educationally, behaviorally and socially.

Applied Behavioral Concepts provides state of the art therapies including all components of Applied Behavior Analysis including natural environment teaching strategies, task analysis, social skills development and discrete trial therapies. Our experienced staff is able to integrate a variety of therapy options depending on the developmental delay for each child individually.

Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) is the only therapy proven to be effective for children with a spectrum disorder and is recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Surgeon General as well as other professionals who work with children with special needs. Therapies may take place in your child’s natural setting such as in the home, school or other social activities where the child may need behavioral support.
